چکیده
Background Spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) is common in patients with hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure (HBV-ACLF). The prognostic value of interleukin-related serum markers for ACLF coming to the fore. However, there an unmet need predict survival such patients. We aimed analyze independent predictors 28- and 90-day mortality HBV-ACLF SBP. Methods This was a retrospective study that included 368 HBV-ACLF. In SBP group, logistic regression analysis used understand at 28-day 90-day. accuracy prediction analyzed using area under receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC). Finally, decision (DCA) determine clinical utility value. Results Interleukin 10 (IL-10) levels were statistically significantly different between group without. Aspartate aminotransferase (AST), sodium, IL-10 vasoactive drug treatment risk factors mortality. International normalized ratio (INR), AST combined Chinese Severe Hepatitis Study Group-ACLF II score (COSH-ACLF IIs) had excellent performance predicting (AUCs: 0.848 0.823, respectively). DCA suggests promising utility. Conclusion predictor predictive improved when COSH-ACLF IIs.

Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis in Patients with Hepatitis B Virus-Related Liver Cirrhosis: Community-Acquired versus Nosocomial
PURPOSE Spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) frequently develops in patients with liver cirrhosis; however, there is little data to suggest whether the acquisition site of infection influences the prognosis. This study compared the bacteriology, clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of community-acquired SBP (CA-SBP) and nosocomial SBP (N-SBP). MATERIALS AND METHODS The medical r...

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Effective assessing the prognosis of patients with end-stage liver disease is always challenging. This study aimed to investigate the accuracy of different models in predicting short-term prognosis of patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF). MATERIAL AND METHODS We retrospectively evaluated survival of a cohort of patients with a...
متن کاملEvaluation of miR-101 Level in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection and Liver Cirrhosis
ABSTRACT Background and Objective: MiRNAs are small RNAs that are expressed in most eukaryotes, and can regulate gene expression by attaching to the 3’ end of target mRNA. MicroRNA-101 (miR-101) post-transcriptional regulation is important for host-virus interactions. In addition, miR-101 has a tumor suppressive role in liver cancer and metastasis, an...

conclusions the occurrence of he is associated with hyponatremia and ppi use in patients with aclf. results in univariate analysis, patients with he in aclf had a significantly higher rate of ppi use (89.1%) compared with non-he (63.6%, p = 0.001). in addition, clinical and standard laboratory variables were significantly different between the two groups regarding the infection rate, hyponatrem...
متن کاملSerum IL-21 levels associated with chronic hepatitis B and hepatitis B-related liver failure
The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of interleukin (IL)-21 in chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. IL-21 stimulates T and B cell responses and plays a role in the control of chronic viral infections. Serum IL-21 levels were measured by enzyme immunoassay in 109 patients with chronic HBV infection at various clinical stages, as well as in 19 healthy controls (HCs). The...
